Two platforms that both refuse to pick a side
Most of this market covers producers, or carriers, or receiving sites. Wasters covers all four roles including brokers, across hazardous and non-hazardous, and so does LoadSnap. That shared decision is the reason this is a closer comparison than most on the site, and it is the right decision: a movement has several parties and software that only knows about one of them produces records the others have to retype.
Their Sanity-Check AI is a genuinely good idea and worth naming: it validates EWC codes, licences and travel logic before anything reaches DEFRA. Catching an error at the point of capture rather than as a rejected submission is the difference between a five-second correction and a compliance problem two days later.
They also go further than we do on logistics for large delivery fleets, with live fleet tracking and route optimisation. LoadSnap optimises the round but does not stream vehicle positions, and we say so plainly rather than describing last-known check-ins as tracking.
Where LoadSnap is different
Classification from a photograph. A driver points a phone at the load and the EWC code, the hazardous flag and a plain-English description come back, across 850+ codes. Validating a code somebody typed is useful; not having to type it is a different kind of useful, particularly for a crew who are not compliance people and never wanted to be.
The pairing of both halves of a movement into one filing. Where the carrier and the receiver are both on LoadSnap, the two records join and produce a single DEFRA submission. Two submissions for one load is double-counted national tonnage, and it is the failure mode that a market full of single-sided tools will produce at scale from October.

Price and accessibility
Both of us are on the GOV.UK software-provider list, which as of the last check carries around seventy-nine providers. It confirms an integration and a passed production approval test. It is a floor, not a recommendation, and DEFRA say as much themselves: buying software is at your own risk.
LoadSnap publishes every tier: free for ten loads a month, then £25 to £399 plus VAT by volume, annual at ten months for twelve, with submission never metered.
Where a rival's pricing is quoted rather than published, the honest comparison is that you can work ours out in thirty seconds and theirs takes a phone call. Whether that matters depends on whether you have a procurement process or a Sunday evening.
