Collections and receipts

Every load your vehicles took away and every load that arrived at your own sites, with its waste items, EWC codes, weights and hazardous flags. Find one by its note number, or filter by date, status, site, or whether it has reached DEFRA.

DEFRA submissions

Every receipt sent to DEFRA, whether it went through, and the tracking ID DEFRA gave it.

Jobs

Read the diary: what is scheduled, for whom, on which vehicle, and which movement it turned into.

Producers and receivers

The sites you collect from, with their billing contact, and the sites you take waste to, with their permit number and location.

Carriers and brokers

The carriers you work with and the brokers who send you work, with their registration and contact details.

Team

Everyone on your Team page, with the office, driver and weighbridge access each person holds.

Invoices

Every invoice and credit note with its lines, VAT, balance due and when it was issued and paid. The way into an accounting package LoadSnap does not connect to directly.

The fleet, with the DVLA tax and MOT position on each and the timestamp of the last check.

Creating movements, submitting to DEFRA and outbound event webhooks are being built on the same versioned surface. Apps that sign in with LoadSnap, such as Zapier, can already add producers, receivers, carriers and enquiries.

Authenticated with `Authorization: Bearer ls_live_...`. Rate limited per key, with the allowance and what is left of it on every response. Collections are paginated with limit and offset, take `created_since` and `updated_since` as an ISO 8601 time, and take `sort=-created_at` for newest first, which is what a polling tool such as Zapier needs.

01How do I get API access?

It is included on Business and Enterprise. An owner or admin creates a key in Settings, Integrations, API keys, and the token is shown once at that moment - we store only a hash of it, so there is no screen that can show it to you again. Revoking a key takes effect on the next request.

02What can the API not do yet?

Keys read; they do not write. Apps that connect with Sign in with LoadSnap, such as Zapier, can also add producers, receivers, carriers and enquiries, from Pro up. Creating a movement, submitting one to DEFRA and subscribing to outbound events are not there today. Inbound webhooks - pushing enquiries and jobs into LoadSnap from your own site - already work and are set up in Settings, Integrations, Enquiries.

03What are the rate limits?

300 requests a minute per key on Business, 600 on Enterprise. Every response carries X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset, so a client can pace itself rather than discover the limit by hitting it. Going over returns 429 with a Retry-After.

04Is the data scoped to my organisation?

Yes, and not by convention. A key belongs to one organisation and every query is filtered on it, so a movement belonging to someone else answers 404 rather than 403 - a 403 would confirm the record exists.
