AI waste classification tool

Take or upload a photo of a waste load and our AI suggests the likely EWC codes, a plain-English description and whether it looks hazardous. This is a free public taster of the classification engine built into LoadSnap. It is a guide to get you started, not a substitute for your own duty-of-care judgement.

A skip, bin, bag or pile of waste works best.

Images are classified on the fly and never stored. This is a demo — the live app captures far more detail.

Questions

Frequently asked

How does AI waste classification work?

You upload a photo of the waste and the model reads the image, then suggests the most likely EWC codes from the List of Waste, a short description and a hazardous flag. It is the same engine that powers LoadSnap, offered here as a limited taster.

Is the classification legally binding?

No. It is a helpful starting point. You remain responsible for confirming the correct EWC code and hazard status for your waste.

Is there a limit on how many photos I can classify?

The free taster is rate-limited to keep it fair and available for everyone. If you hit the limit, wait a short while and try again, or sign up for unlimited classification.

Do you store my photos?

The taster sends the image to the model to classify it and does not return it to you for storage. For a permanent, searchable record of every load, that is what the full LoadSnap product is for.
