Waste tracking ID lookup
Digital waste tracking replaces the paper waste transfer note with a waste tracking ID issued when a movement is recorded. Paste an ID here to see what the service holds against it - the carrier, the receiving site, the waste codes, weights and recovery or disposal codes. The lookup is read-only: it never creates, amends or acknowledges a movement. Free, no signup.
This looks a movement up and shows it. It never creates, amends or acknowledges one — the lookup is read-only.
Questions
Frequently asked
What is a waste tracking ID?
It is the reference the digital waste tracking service issues when a waste movement is recorded. Under the mandate it does the job the paper waste transfer note used to do, and it is the number both sides of a movement quote.
Does this show the whole chain from producer to final treatment?
Not yet. The service went live with receipt of waste first, so today an ID resolves to the receipt recorded against it. Carriers join the service in 2027, and the movement record grows as they do.
Why does my ID come back as not found?
The most common reason is the environment. IDs issued in a test or sandbox system do not exist in the live service and vice versa, so an ID from one will never resolve against the other. The result tells you which environment was checked. Otherwise, check the ID for transcription errors.
Does looking an ID up change anything?
No. The lookup only reads. It cannot create a movement, amend one, or record an acknowledgement, so it is safe to paste an ID you are unsure about.
Filing these yourself from October 2026?
LoadSnap records the receipt, files it to the tracking service and keeps the evidence, so the ID exists without anyone typing it. Start free.
