What is a LoadSnap code?
It is the reference LoadSnap creates when a movement is recorded, in the form LS-4A2C1-9BE07. It travels with the load, on the transfer note and on the QR sticker, so the carrier and the receiving site are both quoting the same number for the same movement.
What does the lookup show me?
The waste codes and descriptions, the weight of each item and whether it was weighed or estimated, the name of the carrier, the name of the company that received it, and the dates. That is the same information a waste transfer note already carries in the open.
What does it deliberately not show?
The producer of the waste, any individual's name, any address, phone number or email, prices, internal notes and photographs. None of that is sent to your browser at all, so it cannot be read out of the page.
Is this the same as a waste tracking ID?
No. A waste tracking ID is issued by the government's digital waste tracking service when a receipt is filed. A LoadSnap code exists from the moment the movement is created, which is usually well before it is filed, so it is the number to quote while the load is still moving. Where a movement has been filed, the lookup says so.
Does looking a code up change anything?
No. The lookup only reads. It cannot create a movement, amend one, or record anything against it, so it is safe to check a code you are unsure about.
