Waste transfer note
WTN
The short answer
The duty of care record for a transfer of non-hazardous waste. It describes the waste, names both parties and their registrations, and both sides keep it for two years.
In practice
Hazardous waste uses a consignment note instead, kept for three years. Repeated identical transfers can run on a season ticket rather than a note each time.
Under digital waste tracking the same information becomes a filing to DEFRA rather than a piece of paper in a cab.
Where LoadSnap touches it
LoadSnap produces transfer notes as real PDFs, including Welsh-language notes.
